Holiday Thank Yous

I have joined a couple of swaps right before Christmas and one is a Thank You Swap. I thought I would go a little holiday-ish but not use traditional red, green, and gold. Welllll, I failed since I used green, but I do like this color combo, so, oh well...LOL! This was very simple and quick, I got 4 of them done in about 2 hours ( that was with soda and potty breaks...LOL) so I was thrilled! FINALLY I can get a decent picture...you can even see the CBing!

I have a few more to try to pop out today, so maybe I will be back later with another creation or two. Have a great Last Saturday of 2008!!

Oh, What a New Camera can do....

YAY, FINALLY a decent picture! LOL I got a new camera and even though I don't have it 100% figured out, it takes better pictures than my old one, don't you think?

I got to play a little while tonight, so I made up a couple of these cards to have on hand. One can always use Birthday cards!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and Santa was good to you!! Our day was wonderful, I ate too much, as usual, but it was great to have friends and family around! Yeah, my famly is mostly in Iowa, but I had my daughter here, and she is most important. I only cried once when I talked to my Daddy ( I think I freaked him out...LOL) but the rest of the day went SUPER!!

I hope to get some Swap cards made tomorrow, so maybe I will have more to share! Sweet Dreams....

Here Comes Santa Paws....

OK, so it sounds corny, but hey, I am getting Christmas Card Punchy! I am in a Santa Swap, but decided to do something "different". Ya think this will qualify? LOL I got out my favorite CB Snowflakes EF, lots of Glitter and SU Cool Cat. It was a pretty fast card other than the time it took for the Stickles to dry!
Only 2 more days of work, and I have 2 weeks off-YAY! Actually, since our School District's food program has been taken over by an outside vendor, I may not go back at all after the Holidays... I hate job hunting! I wish I didn't want pretties to play with, I'd never work again!
I hope you are all having a FANTASTIC week and have gotten all of your decorations up and presents wrapped. If you, have, you are doing better than I am! That is the plan for Saturday...finish it all up! I am headed to bed...

A QUICK Card!

I saw a challenge the other day at The Buck Stamps Here, and thought I would play along and enter her Blog Candy give away! I am always up for a challenge, and this is what I ended up with. It isn't exactly what I had in mind, but it is kinda pretty IRL. You can't see in my pic that there are score lines above and below the sentiment. The Snowflake is made by Inking around a stencil with the green on white paper, then I coved the white with glitter. SO simple!

That is it for tonight, I have a few more things to show you, but I don't have them finished. I will be back tomorrow....Happy Friday!

More Christmas...

I have been trying SO HARD to get my Christmas Cards made, so lastnight, I got 2 more done. When I find something that is fast, easy, AND pretty, I will do a mass production for cards to be sent...LOL! These are a couple that I thought would be kinda cool, but, they took more time than I want to invest in a Mondo Cardmaking Session. The pink ( yes, I know it looks red) was relatively easy....it is stamped, embossed, glittered and layered. Again, I have used the DCWV Glitter Stack...I really like the sparkley look!

The second card is one I had to try...I just LOVE brown and blue, so I thought, what the hey, a brown and blue Christmas card just might work! Lots of layers and some Cuttlebugging, and voila....
Well, that is 2 posts in the same week....guess I am getting my mojo back a bit. That makes me VERY happy! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Got it BACK!!

Over the weekend I was able to make some cards! YAY! There was a smidgon of creativity going on in my little head, so I wanted to pop out a few more Christmas Cards to send to Iowa before it gets too late! A couple of weeks ago, I stamped some images to make into cards, and never got around to it, so these are results of those images. The first is Santa by D.O.T.S. and he is so fun to color! I didn't like any of my Christmas PP with him, as it detracted from his cuteness...LOL! I used DCWV Glitter Pack in the red and green, as they matched him almost perfectly! The saying is from SU...it is a little Hostess stamp that my sweet SU demo, Keersten, sent with my goodies a few weeks ago.
The next was a "see how it turns out" card, and I kinda like it. Guess you can't really go wrong with this sketch layout, eh? The images are from Printworks...a set I picked up on sale at Hobby Lobby last week. The PP is also from HL, but I am sorry I don't know who made it as it wasn't stamped. Before mounting it, I used Stickles to make the Snowflakes and Joy sparkle...it looks MUCH better IRL!
I have a few other ideas I wanna play around with, so I hope to get back again before too long. Have a great evening, everyone, and BE CREATIVE!

Lack of Mojo....

But I was FORCED to make a Birthday Card for my Daddy, and here it is! Simple and sweet....I do like the cardstock I used...LOL! His Birthday is Thursday, and he is gonna retire in January...geesh I look forward to the day I can announce my retirement! I had a great week off last week, and HATED going back to work today....oh well, it pays the bills...or at least SOME of them!
I managed to get my SU sets organized over the weekend...YAY! I didn't realize how many I had....Over Christmas Break I will do my singles....that will take all 3 weeks, I am sure!
Dunno a whole lot new...be sure to check the Blogs on the sidebar for some fabby Blog candy! Have a GREAT Tuesday, and I hope to see you tomorrow~!

A Two-fer Tuesday!

YAY, I got another Christmas card done tonight, and I actually kida like it! I used SU Best Blossoms, which is totally NOT a Christmas set, but I figured neither is Upsy Daisy, so why not give it a shot! I saw a gorgeous card similar to this one on Splitcoast Stampers a few months back, but it wasn't a Christmas Card....I loved the layout, so I used it.

I ran the Real Red through the CB...I wanted to go with the snowflakes folder, but it just didn't look right with the blossoms. Cut my ovals with the Coluzzle ( OMG, I NEED Stampabilities!!) and layered them. I stamped the Blossoms with White Kraft on Real Red, and the leaves on Glorious Green, then embossed with clear EP. Cut them out and arranged then around the sentiment from TAC. Another simple card....those are beginning to be my faves...LOL! I think I will add some stickles to the flower centers for a little BLING! Can you believe I have done 2 cards today, and BOTH are traditional Christmas Red and Green? I hope I am not getting sick...hehehe! In case I don't get back on Wednesday, I want to wish everyone a Happy and Very Blessed Thanksgiving!

It's Been a GREAT DAY!!

It has been a great day! I got to play with some of my new SU goodies...YAY! I used the Sketch Challenge at SCS, and I really like it. I think this will be a good layout for a variety of cards in the future.
I used my new set, Upsy Daisy, for the main image, and a TAC GWP stamp, Holiday Greetings, for the sentiment. It is layered on SU DP Ski Slope, which I have fallen totally in love with! I finished it off with silver brads and a silver circle clip with ribbon. This was fast and fun, and I was thrilled to get to use my new supplies. I am off to take my friend, Connie, to her Physical Therapy and then I hope to do more creating this evening. Have a Super Tuesday....TTYL~

Has it been a week?

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it has been a week since I have posted! Guess I have been busier than expected....
I did get another Christmas card made, and a Birthday card for an 8 year-old who LOVES Glitter.

Obviously, the first is the Birthday Card. I used Inkadoo's Clearstamp set called Birthday Cupcake. I just love all the cupcakes in this set! The little girl I made this for LOVES when I use glitter on my cards, so I really wanted HER card to shine! I used DCWV Glitter Pack and Glitter Cardstock. I colored the cupcake and flowers with glitter gel pens and did the frosting with Stickles. Maybe an over-kill, but I bet she loves it....hehehe.

This Christmas card was kind of an " I really wanna use that image" kinda thing. Isn't that Santa TOO CUTE? This is a stamp by Great Impressions that I got years ago at my LSS. I don't think I have ever inked him up, and that floors me ' cuz I just ADORE Santa! Well, his rubber is now StazOn stained, and will get used again in the near future. I colored our guys with good old colored pencils and SU markers. Found a scrap in the scrap pile that brings out the blue patch on Santa's jacket, and went with it. Glitted the snow and that was it. Simple, but the image didn't require much more.
I have a few more in the works...been coloring like a mad woman...lmao! Everyone have a great week....see you again SOON!!

Get Well and Merci....

OK, so I am home from work sick, and what do I make...A Get Well Card! I had to do them for a swap, so I guess now was a good a time as ever. I love this set from SU- A Little Birdie Told Me- and I need to dig it out more often! I paper pieced the Birdie and Umbrella...I know it is hard to see in this pic...I HAVE to get a different camera or a new scanner that will work with Vista...I am tired of these washed out pics! ANYHOOOO, I am happy with this, even though it is fairly simple. Yellow is one of my Favorite Colors, so I went for it...plus it is bright and cheery for a Get Well Card.

This next Card is also made with a SU set that has been neglected....why do I do that? Do you all do that, too? Buy stamps , use them once, then set them aside? My DD says I have too many stamps, and that is why so many become neglected. Oh Well....
This set is called Merci and has several pretty stamps. I used up some of my DCWV PP, so that made me smile, too. I love Pink and Brown together, and these stamps go nicely with the stamps.
I need a happy nappy....my meds are working...YAY!! You all have a FABBY day, and Be Creative! I will go blog hopping later, I just LOVE to see what everyone is making!

Glittery Fun

I am so happy I got to play this weekend, and I actually accomplished something! This card is for a swap. It was super easy....just some DP from DCWV Glitter Stack, I love how they co-ordinate, and ribbon. I popped the Happy Birthday up on dimensionals, and voila, it was done! Easy Peasy, eh?

This next one is another Christmas Card ( are you getting tired of these yet? LOL). I used my Snowman Nativity from TAC, and all the stamps are so adorable. These guys are colored with pencils, then highlighted with stickles. I mounted the main image and sentiment on Glitter Paper for more sparkle. The snowflake brads were white, so I ran them over Blue Bayou inkpad, and they match perfectly! I like how this is cute, but also great for the season! I will be doing more with this set!
Well, I am off to bed, so I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Baby Blue

I am so excited I got to do some creating!! I so wanna get my Christmas cards made IN ADVANCE this year, so I have been busting a move on them every chance I get. I love to make "pretty" cards for my Mom and Grandmas, so I thought this might qualify for one of them. This is an old SU Set that I never used, and I have NO idea why not! I watercolored Mary and Jesus then glittered around the edges. It is a white card base on a BlueBayou back. I have a few more ideas for this stamp set, if I ever get to play with it again...LOL! Yesterday, while playing nursemaid to my best buddy, Connie, who had Cervical Fusion surgery last week, I was able to get a few images colored and ready for mounting onto cards. I hope to get those done today, and then I will share.
Have a GREAT Saturday....

I got to PLAY

YAY!! I got to make some cards yesterday! This is one of my VERY FAVORITE Thanksgiving sets, and it is a very retired SU Set from like 2000. The Pilgrims and Indian are just so cute, and FUN to color. I used Chocolate Chip for the base card, then layered DP from Basic Grey. Punched my sentiment, mounted the image, and popped in a photocorner, just cuz it needed something else. Super simple and cute, to boot, heeee!

This next one I just LOVE!! This Crab and Co. set is just so cute, and I LOVE him as a Christmas card....LOL! I got to have fun with my CB Snowflakes, too! How'd I do on the Snappy? I totally faked that one....it is Happy Holidays with half of the H gone, and I added my own S....hey ya do what ya gotta do....

This next one uses the same sketch and CB Snowflakes, but I used my Chris-Moose- he is an OLDIE from D.O.T.S. ( now known as Close To My Heart). I am headed to do some Christmas Shopping....yeah I am in the mood! You all have a wonderful rest of your day!

Sorry I disappeared....

I have gone back to work, and my ME time is GONE! I was determined to make SOMETHING today. I have a Sketch Swap due in one of my Yahoo Groups, so that was my focus. I just got this set from TAC, its name is Love and Laughter, and wanted to ink it up. I have been on a monochromatic thing the past little while, thus, monochromatic...LOL! I cuttlebugged the first layer and rubbed some Old Olive over it to make it stand out. The sketch looked like it wanted some ribbon between the image and sentiment, but I chose to use paper instead. I really like doing the little white dots...it just adds something in my opinion.
Well, I am just exhausted, so I am gonna head to bed. I hope you all have a great Friday! TGIF!!

Wow, what a week....

I forgot I don't like to work...LOL! I am totally exhausted today, and I haven't done a darn thing. Well, I do have something to share today... I made this for a Double Slider Card Swap. I wanted to do one of the Holidays, so I decided Thanksgiving would be better than Halloween, because I have already done a bazillion Halloween cards...hehehe. I just LOVE fall colors, so I am pretty satisfied with this little devil....isn't the Indian Princess cute? Have a GREAT rest of the weekend...I am gonna try to get something else made tomorrow. See you all soon....Be sure to check out all the Blog Candies I have listed...they are FABBY!

My name is Julie, and I am a Blog-a-holic....

I just LOVE to blog hop all day!! I get some of the neatest ideas, and there is SO much wonderful talent out there...blows me away!! One of my favorite things to do is take the various challenges that are put out there. Today I found one that involves Blog Candy! Check it out at The Buck Stamps Here. Her challenge is to get started on your Christmas things...a card, package, candy wrapper...something Christmas. Here is my Card...can ya tell I am one for Non-Traditional colors on my Christmas cards? LOL

I am a bit disappointed, though, because this looks Blue when it is actually Purple...I have told Santa I want a new camera for Christmas.

I have a few other things in the works, so I should be back soon with those. I go back to work FULL TIME on Friday....Arrghhh, there goes my Stamping Time...Oh well, I will make some each day, I am sure. Have a Fabby night....

Think Pink For Awareness!

I was Blog Hopping and came across a challenge at Slumber Cards to make a Pink Card and send it on to someone who needs cheering. As most know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and like so many, I have had loved ones affected by this disease. My Paternal Grandmother, who was a survivor for 16 years then had it metastisize into her lungs as so many do. This was my first experience. Then my best friend's mother..my other Mom...who was taken from us at the tender age of 42. Just 2 weeks ago, my Aunt was diagnosed and had a lumpectomy. Recently, they have decided to take more tissue because they are not positive that they got all of the cancer cells. She will have another surgery soon, so please say a prayer for her. Aunt Carol will be the receiver of this card. It is made with much love and HOPE!! I BELIEVE she will be cancer-free, just like her mother was!

I got a wonderful Suprise this morning as I Blog Hopped. I won a Blog candy at
In the Works...at smARTworks. It is a COOL set of Owl and Owl Sayings.....How lucky can I be?

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Forced to find some Mojo....

I dunno what my problen has been this past week...I have totally LOST my Mojo!! Yesterday, I was forced to find some, though, because I have swaps due out tomorrow...LOL!

Today is my daughter's 17th Birthday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHELLI!! We did an Asian Brunch and then she and friends went to the movies. I LOVE to see the girls having fun and giggling!! Although I miss my little girl, I am so proud of the WONDERFUL young woman she has grown into!! I Love you, Baby Girl!

OK enough of that, or this ol' sappy Momma is gonna blubber.....

Here is the card I made yesterday. I kinda like it...which suprises me because I had no idea what I was doing. The only requirement was to have a cake somewhere on the card. I chose SU Birthday Whimsey, and the Red, White and Blue Stripes. It all kinda just developed from there.
I did my favorite layers and ribbon...and had to throw a little CB in there too. Voila~
I hope I can get some Get-Up-And-Go tomorrow.....'til then, have a great evening!

Today I worked a little on some swaps....I am in a Double Slider Swap, so I figured I best make one and see how they go together. Thanks to Splitcoast Stampers, I was able to follow the tutorial, and voila, here it is.
I just LOVE this stamp, she is one I won via Blog Candy a few weeks ago. She is available at Whiff Of Joy Stamps, I just love all of the adorable designs they feature! Check them out, for sure!
I am off to bed...gotta work in the morning...arrgh, back to a job is gonna kill my ME time...LOL! You all have a great day, and I will have more tomorrow!

Gonna Try This Again...

I posted earlier today, and, POOF it was gone! Sorry I didn't have time to do it again until now, but I'm Baaa-ack. Scarey? I know....NOT!
I decided this year instead of procrastinating, like I usually do, I am gonna get a jump on my Christmas Cards. So today, while the kids were being quiet...all of about 20 minutes...I put this card together. I must have seen soemthing similar somewhere, because I just did it. The stamp set is SU Priceless. The sentiment is computer generated and says "May Your Days Be Merry And Bright". I used pretty traditional colors for a pretty non-traditional looking card-good old red, green and yellow. I was very satisfied with how it turned out, and thrilled at how fast it went. I see more of this style in my cardmaking future.

I thought I would introduce you to the newest member of the Family..this is little Miss Star Baby. She is a 3 1/2 month old Peek-a-poo. I wasn't in the market for another FurBaby, but when her Momma asked me to take her and Love Her, ( my Neon Sucker Sign was BLINKING) I just couldn't say no. Her Momma works LONG hours, and just didn't feel that she was giving her the attention a puppy needs, so she passed her to me with lots of love. I am already in love with the spirited little Furball, and can't wait to see what she looks like full grown. She is currently shaved, and kind of reminds me of my cocker spaniel ( underbite and all) but I know she won't look like this for long. She loves her Momma Julie, too. I should change her name to Shadow Baby...LOL.

Well, I am keeping my fingers crossed this one posts....Have a FABBY night all! Sweet Dreams~

I've Been Tagged....

One of my Blogging Buddies, Giovana, has tagged me....( Be sure to go send her a congrats on making the Design Team at Mothers and Daughters Creations!!)

Here are the Rules:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your Blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your Blog...some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their Blogs.

4. Let them know they have been Tagged by leaving a comment on their Blog.

Hmmmm what doesn't everyone already know about me? Aren't I an open Book? Here goes:

1. I have been cardmaking for about 10 years now ( that was when I bought my first stamp) but have only been FAITHFULLY making cards for about 5 years. I think I am more of a "collector" of stamps than a "user" of them.

2. I was a professional singer for over 20 years. Few people know this....

3. I love to gamble! THIS is NOT a good thing, as it can interfere with stamp collecting...errrr, buying. Since moving here to Arkansas, the Casinos aren't as easily accessable as the River Boats were in Iowa, but I DO still make it to Oklahoma occasionally to hit the slots....LOL.

4. Here is a weird one- I get along with my ex-husband! Yup, we are better friends that we were ever spouses. He really is a good peron, just a crappy husband...LOL!

5. I had my first child at the age of 30...yeah Old, eh? I labored 22 hours and they took her C-section...but I thank God everyday for her!! She is my Sunshine...

6. I love to watch TV....anything on HGTV, TLC, or primetime music shows like American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With The Stars, ect. I can watch TV and create at the same time...LOL!

7. I LOVE Gummy Bears! I will choose them over Chocolate, anyday!!

WOW, that was difficult! Guess I am SO not exciting...LMAO! Sorry, gals, but here is who I will tag....

I visit about 40 Blogs a day, but these are the only gals I KNOW.....

OK, now for a card. I made this yesterday in honor of World Cardmaking Day...I needed some more Halloween Cards, and this is one of them. I am running late for a cook-out, so if I get back at a decent hour, I will post more of yesterdays creations. I don't have many Halloween Stamps, I have discovered!! This is just a mish mash that was in my head and made it to paper. I thought it needed some bling, so I stickled the ghosts and spider web.
Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Isn't She Pretty?

Last week I told you I won a couple of Blog Candy give aways, and this pretty image was in one of those. I am not sure who makes her, I am thinking possibly Whiff of Joy Stamps, but she really is gorgeous.
I used a pretty white base piece from my DCWV Glitter stack, because I really wanted the image to be the focal point without alot of bling...whoa, that is a change for me....
Again....Blue. What is it with me? Today I WILL make something that DOES NOT USE BLUE! Maybe if I keep saying it, I will believe it...LOL! I took a tumble down the stairs Monday, and believe it or not, today I hurt...talk about delayed reaction, eh? It is hurting to sit here at the puter, so I will close for now. Have a great Humpday, and I will talk to you all soon!
Rubber Hugs,
Julie
I have since found out that she is indeed a Whiff of Joy Stamps...her name is Willow with Lantern, and she was a new release as of Sept. 24th. Be sure to check out their site...some adorable stamps, for sure!!

Hmmm Am I Blue?

Blue seems to be my color lately....LOL. I dunno what this needs, but it is needing something...any ideas? I have been wanting to play with making some glittery backgrounds, so that is how this card started. I also wanted to use some of the Borders I got from TAC...geesh they are easy to use!! I have some other goodies I have been playing with, so hopefully I can finish them and show um off....

I have come across a couple of cool Blog Candy offers....check out Anki's Blog, she has some adorable things, although some is not available in the US, it is sure fun to look! Another one is HERE...Michelle's Blog is adorable, and I love all of her donkeys....Donkeys are close to Cows, yes? Both so stinkin' Sweet!! Anyhoooooooo....

Hope to see you all again, soon!

Day 2...still alive...

I have been spending LOTS of time at the Card Making Table the past couple of days. No smoking for 2 days, and I a proud of myself!! Here is one I made this morning with some of my Birthday Stamps....Inkadinkado's Birthday Cupcake. I originally wanted to use the Large Cupcake, but thought the trio done as a "border" looked better. I have fallen in LOVE with stickles....why would i wanna ever use glue and glitter again? Hahaha

Last week I won 2 blog candies, and they have both arrived! WOW, it was like Christmas! Thanks so much to Suzanne and Nicola...I have a lot of wonderful new goodies to play with this week!! I will do a Blog Candy when I make it to my first 1000 hits...I am already collecting some goodies to give away. I love when that happens...hehehe! I hope you are all having a great weekend, I know mine is going slowly, but then I know why, too....

See you all tomorrow.

I am feeling Spooky....

This is my first day with NO CIGARETTES...arrgh. So far, so good, say your prayers for me, I sure am sending them up! Anyhoooo....to fit in with my wonderful mood, hehehehe, I thought I'd pull out my favorite little Witchypoo. I water colored her, and it seems the sunlight kinda drown out her green face... I used purple ink on my CuttleBug Folder to get the background. This card will go to my partners in a Halloween Swap...I am in 3 of them, so dunno which one, YET...LOL. Well, I have to get away from the puter, as this is my main smoking spot, I have to avoid it today...FOR SURE!! You all have a fabby day, and see you later!

A couple of sketches

These were made for a Sketch Swap on one of my Yahoo Groups. I love these papers, they look like denim IRL. The Flowers in the corners ARE Denim material with pink Brads holding them together. I used a Chipboard Tag covered with patterened paper for the sentiment. I hope my Partners like them, I think they turned out kinda cute.

This next Card was made for a Fall Card Swap. I have so many Leaf Stamps, but I came upon this cool paper, and decided to ust it instead. I am not sure where I found the sketch, but I really like how it turned out. The corner circle really makes it different...
I hope you are all having a FABBY week! I have some more ideas brewing, so I will be back soon.

I just saw Davenport, Iowa....

on my Blog Log!! Who is it? Can you leave me a comment, so I can say HI? Davenport is my home town!! HOW COOL! I just got chills....

I am a year older....

And I hope WISER, too...hehehe! Yesterday was my Birthday, and it was great! Had a nice dinner with friends and family, and lots of laughs. This is a card I made with some of my new stamps....yeah, I scored!!

I have always loved this little Changito Monkey, so I was thrilled when I got him. I got some Cupcake stamps, a couple new Cuttlebug Embossing folders, Ribbons, and lots of paper. AND I won 2 blog candy in over the weekend. One last week at Scrap Biz, and one today at Gorillamama Greats...Oh the wonderful LUCK!! It is more like Christmas in September, than my little ol' birthday....hehehe.

I did some ATCs for a swap the other day that I think turned out kinda cute. I have a MAJOR LOVE for cows, so this one was an easy one for me!
Have a Fabby Humpday and I hope to see you all tomorrow!!

Still a little sluggish....

But I have got a post tonight! YAY! I actually felt like playing with Rubber and Ink today, and here is one of the cards I got done. I will try to get back later with the other one, if I can get a decent picture in the light I have available. Sunlight is so much nicer for pics...LOL

I did this one for one of my Yahoo Groups. It is for a Favorite Stamp swap, and since I have a bazillion favorite stamps, I thought I'd use one of the sets I got a couple months ago that I LOVE. It is SU Artfully Asian. It is kinda hard to see, but the flowers and buds I applied Crystal Stickles for a little bling. The patterned paper is from DCWV Far East Stack. The layout was last week's Sketch Challenge over at Our Creative Corner. I have wanted to do it all week, and FINALLY got to it! They have a new one for this week, so check it out! I hope everyone is having a FABBY weekend and enjoying the beautiful weather! ( Well, we have beautiful weather right now, we'll see how long it lasts! )

I'm Back again....hehehe

Well, here is my second attempt at NO STAMPS, and I like this one better! I used DCWV Glitter paper and SU Rub-ons again. It was really a super easy card, and the glitter CS really makes a difference!
Tomorrow I have to make a Masculine Birthday Card for my baby brother. He is gonna be 30...OMG, my BABY Brother! His Birthday is the day after mine, so I HAVE to get it made and in the mail tomorrow so it makes it to Minniapolis by the 23rd. I will show ya what I come up with, unless it is ugly...LOL! Have a great night!

Happy Tuesday...glad to be here!

Having been a bit under the weather, I haven't been very creative for a few days! I realized I have a couple of swaps I had to get out yesterday, so I went for it. They are simple, but I am happy with them. This one is for a fall swap...I LOVE leaves, so I went for it. The green panel is CB with Ink, and it looks perfect with the leaves. I dunno why my cam doesn't get the colors right...this is brown, orange and Olive Green. Hope my partners like it....

This is also a fast and easy card! I wanted to do one with NO STAMPS, and voila, I succeeded....hehehe. I used my Watercolor Crayons to color the Primas, and the white panel is ScorePal'd ( grrr again that cam...LOL) I used a rub-on from SU's Love & Happiness for the sentiment. It is so hard for me NOT to use stamps...they are my life! ( that was pitiful, eh?)
I have another idea for NOStamps, so I will play with that today. I have a couple of Sketches I wanna do, too...so see you soon!

Asian Birthday

Hiya everyone! I wanted to share this Birthday card, even though it is a horrible picture! I needed a card that wasn't "too girlie", and I know she likes the Asian Theme, so this is the result. The BG paper is from DCWV Asian Stack, and it matches the stamp pretty well! I will try for a better pic tomorrow...errr later today, and then I will edit it. the colors are really pretty together..brown and hunter green on cream. I had to throw in the little Coin....it looks so cool with this paper! I have a doc appointment again in the morning, so I will try to get back early afternoon with something new! TGIF, and have a great day!

Julie

Happy Humpday!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! Well, I survived the Doctor yesterday, though the nurses were a bit frazzled...hehehe. When they took my BP it was 186/132....yeah, scared me too. So they called the doc in and he retook it a 3rd time...it was the same. Spring into action...LMAO! I scared the begeebers outta them...they gave me a clonopen and it went down within 5 mins. Needless to say, I have new meds. They make me drowsey since I am not used to them yet, but I will adjust. THAT is why I didn't get anything posted for you yesterday.
On the path of inking stamps I have yet to use, I came upon this NEW set, SU Friendship Blooms.
I have been trying to do fast and easy, and even though I don't DISlike this one, it just doesn't have enough UMMPH for me....Does that make me an embellie snob? I hope not!
My DD liked it a lot, and snagged it for her friend for a 'Happy" card. I am so glad Shelli likes my stuff! Anyhoooo, I am waiting for DishNetwork to come set up the new dish, so I will be back later with more. Have a fabby afternoon!

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Daddy

My parents celebrate their 43rd Anniversary on 9/11, so I wanted a pretty card for them. I saw this card on SCS and thought it was just so pretty, I CASEd it. I have to mail it, so I didn't do it square, even though I love the 4 X 4 cards. I changed the colors up a bit, and the shape of the sentiment. I used different ribbon, too, but I LOVE the wider ribbon better. Again, it was for ease of mailing. I hate when that happens! If I was in Iowa, I'd have done it ALMOST exact, as I just LOVE the look of the original!
I am sorry I have been neglectful of Blogland the past couple of days. Yesterday was the day from...well, it was bad. I am switching phone service, internet service and TV service to AT&T from Cable, and oh goodness, what a fiasco! Suffice to say, the ONLY thing that was working on installation yesterday was the phone service. I was LIVID! My internet is on 24/7, and I had NONE for over 24 hours! I am suprised I didn't die! LOL Anyhoooo....I am up and running again, and faster than ever! Now when Dish Network comes on Wednesday, if they mess up, I am gonna send them on their way! I left the TV alone since they don't hook it up 'til Wednesday, so if DN misses the boat, I will still have cable....lesson learned obviously!
I will be working on more September Birthday cards tomrrow, so i will have some goodies to share I hope! See you then....

Well, shoot....LOL

Today I made a card for my friend Joani who has a Birthday on Monday, and I was gonna post it to her blog because she has some BLOG CANDY offered ( go check it out!), but dippy me mailed her REAL card Tuesday ( I didn't think it'd get there so fast!) and she got it today! Oh well, I have the other one I made to show you that I did for the Sketch Challenge at

Sketches {by Tamera}. I wanted to post this one to her blog for the contest and then hoped the one I sent didn't get there til Saturday. Had I waited til today to mail it, the card wouldn't have made it til Tuesday...LOL! Such is life....

I was sick yesterday, so I didn't get to post, but today I got a couple things made, so I will post again in the morning. It is past midnight here, and I better hit the bed...my pillow is calling my name. Sweet Dreams, everyone!

Hugs,
Julie

I LOVE COWS

I spent part of the day yesterday playing with my Un'udder Birthday Set from TAC. I have had them for a while and they were UNinked! I just adore COWS, especially black and white ones. I have a couple special friends I wanted to make cards for, so I thought yesterday was the day!
This one is for a dear friend who is always so thoughtful! I used my CB Paisley Embossing folder ( actually, Shelli's BFF, Ashley, was playing with the CB, so I let her do it) . The Ribbon along the bottom is just plain white, and I used the little cow spots stamp that comes with the set to give it some spots. I love how it turned out. I DO need to invest in the Nestablilities...I cut the oval with my Coluzzle , then used Fiskars scissors to do the scallops. I hate when they don't come out evenly. LOL Am I a bit anal? Anyway, this was a fun one to do...this little cow is SO Cute!!

Oh Goodness I think I figured out how to do 2 pics in the same post...YAY ME! hehehe
This one was made for another special friend who has a birthday coming up very soon! We Virgos gotta stick together.... I have alot of September Bithday Cards to make in the next couple of days. I have a brother the 4th, Gail's is the 12th, my BFF Darla's is the 15th ( Her bday is one week before mine, and her Mom's was one week before MY Mom's, isn't that cool?) another brother the 23rd, and a brother-in-law the 30th. Geesh, I am gonna be busy the next couple of days. Plus my Parents Anniversary is the 11th....arrgh I just got dizzy....
This card was a RIOT to make. Isn't that cow just so cute? I did the water with watercolors and the rest with inks. I used a template for the clouds....I got that cloud template a bazillion years ago, and it was probably the best $4 I ever spent, cuz I use it all the time. The layout is one I posted for a Card Challenge on CMBH, an MSN Group you hear me talk about alot. Oops, the dogs wanna go outside, so I better hit the door with them. We are due to get Gustav Storms here for the next 3 days, so I gotta let the boys OUT when they need to go....LMAO! Have a great day and Be Creative!
