TGIF!! ( Tomorrow...LOL )

I started a new position at a new school on the 3rd, and WOW, I must say I DO love it! But my new hours are atrocious...LOL! I am in bed by 10 pm, which is when I USED to do most of my creating....LOL! I have made a few things in the past couple of weeks, I mean, Christmas IS coming SOON!

This first one I used the most adorable TAC Stamp that I got last year. I colored him with Watercolors and Glitter pens, though the scan isn't the greatest. the Circle Sentiment is the SU set, Riveting.

This next one was done using the SU set, Crab & Co. I think he is just the cutest little Christmas Crab! I colored him with markers, and did his hat with glitter. I got the sketch from a previous

Christmas Stamping All Year Long challenge. I love the way it uses PP and CBing.

Well, I am off....gotta make dinner..then to bed...ARRGH! I have Christmas and New Year's weeks off, so I will have LOTS to show you then! Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by~

Back to work....

tomorrow after a great week off! I only got a couple of things made, so that was too bad, but I DID enjoy my week....Sorry for the bad pic....it has been overcast, so I scanned this card for my Daddy's Bday on the 4th. I cased a card made by my friend, Cindy, using the SU set Lovely As A Tree, which SHE sent me!! TOO COOL, eh? Yup she is a sweetheart!
The card base is 5 X 5...I have fallen in love with square cards!~I stamped the trees in Chocolate Chip and then sponged with Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. I really messed up the sentiment...LOL...thus I did another and mounted it on 3D tape...it actually works! Pretty straight foreward easy card that looks masculine for my Dad!
I have more to show you...I promise to be a better blogger! Thanks for stopping by!

A Friendly Challenge

Lastnight, a good friend of mine, Judy, challenged me to make a Christmas card, and get it posted today! We were discussing what bad bloggers we have been, and decided to challenge one another to a post off....LOL!
This card was made using the sketch at the Stamping 411 Challenge Blog. Since there is both Wet and CB embossing, it also qualifies for the Embossing Challenge at Corrosive!
I dug out an OLD OLD SU set called Peace, Joy, and Love...it is SO OLD, that is is mounted on foam! What does THAT tell you? It is one I just can't get myself to part with, though.... I did some silver embossing around the edge of the card base, the bell and the sentiment. And of course, used my CB Embossing folder for the snowflakes. Overall, an actually pretty quick card to put together, once I got going. I hope I have some mojo back~ the lack there of has really been depressing!
Thanks so much for stopping by! There will be more to see this week, I promise!

I've Been Away TOO LONG....

Life has its ways of getting in the way of creativity, and mine took over for a while! Well, the creativity has returned and I actually made a card today! This is using LAST week's Mojo Monday Sketch. The stamp set I used is one from TAC called Snowman Nativity. I just LOVE each of these adorable little guys depicting the Holy Night. And the sentiments are all Bible passages...really a neat set!
The Snowflake PP is some I had in my stash. The big snowflake is made using a QuicKutz die...it is kinda cool, it only cuts, in this case, 1/6th of the snowflake, so you can make it as full or bare as you want. Kind of a neat design, and they work great in my Cuttlebug!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I apologize to all of my regular visitors who visited during my time away! I promise to be a better blogger...and thank goodness, cuz it 'Tis The Season..
Have a FABBY Monday...see you soon!

A Sunday 2fer

I was in a Christmas kinda mood today...obviously! I wanted to do the Pollycraft Monday Challenge , so I thought I best do it today before it expired...LOL! It was to use 2 of 5 S's...I used ALL 5!! There are snowflakes, sparkle, stripes, spots, and swirls! I just love this image, too...
This one also follows another challenge, the Stamping 411 Challenge, which was a sketch. Lastly, I used the color combo from Paper Make Up -ruby, olive and chocolate.
I will try to get a better picture tomorrow if there is some sunlight. You can't see the sparkle completely, and it is important...LOL!
Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful Monday!

ATC Grows Into A Card

Last week while I was home, I did some ATCs. This is one I thought turned out kinda cute, so today I decided to make her into a Christmas card and use a few of this weeks Challenges. I used the sketch at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards. It was perfect for an ATC as the main image! I also went with the ABC Challenge, which this week is Embossing. Got out the trusty Cuttlebug and voila...embossing! The next one this qualifies for is Die Cut Dreams Challenge, which is to use ribbon or trim. LOTS of ribbon there!
Lastly, the Tilda is done in 3D, so it qualifies for the Pile It On Challenge today.
I have a couple other things in the fire today, so though, I missed World Card Day yesterday due to some family issues, I am making up for it today! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a WONDERFUL day!

Happy Fall, Ya'll

Well, it has been a while since I have created, but I HAD to do something today! I was getting antsy, to say the least!
I have been home all week, trying to get this leg to heal! ARRGH....it is better, and I AM going back to work Monday. I need my life back!
Anyhoooo- This card was made for the Digital Tuesday Challenge, which was to use falling leaves. The Sponsor this week is McMahon5Designs, but I couldn't wait to see if I won this digi-stamp, so I went and bought it...LOL! I also was able to fit this into the Dare U-2 Digi Challenge, using dies or punches. Lastly, this card qualifies for the All Sorts Challenge to be inspired by Autumn! I got a new set of Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils for my birthday, so I used them to color the image. I couldn't find any PP I liked, so I made the Polished Stone to match the color scheme. It sure felt good to make something....
I have a couple other things I am working on, so I will be back later! Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT DAY!

Tilda Time

I had this little Tilda colored up, so I thought I would make her into a card. I loved the sketch at Sketch Saturday last week, so I decided to use it. My Mojo has had the week off, so I needed something to give it a boost. I just adore my Tildas, and even though I only have a few, I tend to use them alot! I promise, this weekend, I will use something OTHER than Tildas...LOL!
It is past my bedtime, but I wanted to post something since I haven't for so long! I hope everyone is doing great and has a wonderful Friday! See you tomorrow~ Thanks for stopping by!

It's My BLOGOVERSARY!~

CANDY IS NOW CLOSED~ BE BACK AFTER WORK WITH A WINNER!!
Yup, one year ago today, I delved into Blogland! It has been so much fun, and I have "met" so many wonderful, talented people! I am gonna give away some blog candy...nothing special, but hopefully, you will all think they are goodies! I have tried to include a few cool things ...Stampin' Up Stamps, TAC Stamps, ribbon, chipboard....and will also throw in some stamped Magnolia images on quarter sheets. EDITED: I took another picture, but we have storms today( yes, I am home sick with the flu this week...arrgh!) so I hope you can see the goods better!

All you need to do is link my candy on your blog, if you have one, ( if you don't, no problem, just let others know to come join!), become a follower, and leave me a comment! Easy Peasy! My Birthday is next month, but I am not that patient, so I will close the candy on Sept. 10 and draw on Sept. 11-my parent's 44th Anniversary. I will try to keep this post at the top until the 10th...

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all join...I will ship to anywhere!

Frosty Wonderland

A friend introduced me to a new challenge blog a couple days ago, Winter Wonderland. The challenge this week is to make a card with a Snowman...I love snowmen so this was SIMPLE!

I used one of Dustin Pike's Snowmen-he is just so cute and happy! He is colored with watercolors and cute with Nesties. I cut the Snowflakes with the Silhouette, and I just LOVE them! I covered them with glitter...I hope you all like them, as you are gonna see alot of them on my Christmas cards this year...LOL! The sentiment I just wrote....WOW that Nestie is SMALL. This started as the sketch on the blog, but kinda morphed into what it is now. The sketch wasn't mandatory, whew! Well, chalk it up to one more Christmas card made for 2009...YAY! Thanks to all for stopping by, and have a FABBY FRIDAY!!

C & S Sympathy

Happy Hump Day! Yup, I am home again today...this time with an infection in my leg! I am getting sick and tired of being sick, lemme tell ya! Doc told me to take the rest of the week off, but I am only taking today...I gotta make the money to buy the goodies, right?
I needed a quickie Sympathy card, yet wanted it to be feminine. I used SU Thoughts and Prayers set. Colored it with markers and stamped it on plain white cardstock. Matted that on Old Olive and added the rhinestones. VERY quick card that, in my opinion turned out pretty. Did the same on one corner of the envelope, and was done. Sympathy cards are so difficult to make~but this SU set is just so perfect, and makes it much easier.
I can't move too much, as my leg is wrapped and elevated, and I am taking Vicodin for the pain. I have been coloring some images that need to be made into cards, so I will hopefully have something else here in the near future. Thank you all for stopping by and have a great Day!

44 Years....

My parents celebrate their 44th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 11th ( the day I draw my Blog Candy!), and I wanted something "different" for their card. I think this is definately different....for me at least! I LOVE the look of black and white cards, but rarely do them, but when I saw the Mojo Monday Challenge, I just had to go that way!
I got this DCWV Black & White Mat Stack a while back, and have only dug it out one other time. There are some wonderful designs and, needless to say, they all coordinate! I matted all the layers with black, and cut the computer generated Sentiment and mat with Lables 4 Nesties. There is a little CB embossing at the bottom, just below the bow. A little BLING and it is finished...
Thanks again for stopping by. Have a wonderful week and please be sure to sign up for my Blog Candy Giveaway that will be drawn on Friday afternoon!

More Tilda...

My Best Friend of 36 years has a birthday on the 15th, and I wanted a cute card for her this year. Her birthday is 1 week before mine, so for years I get to tease her about being as old as I am for 1 whole week....then she gets to retaliate with I am older for 51 weeks....NOT FAIR! This has been going on since we hit 30....I hope it goes on for at least another 30 years!
I wanted to use one of my newest Tilda's, so I used the Just Magnolia sketch challenge for this week. I colored Tilda with watercolors, as usual. I seem to have a hard time picking PP for some reason, but I finally decided on these from Basic Grey's Lemonade Paper Pad. The flowers I had in my stash.
I have another card I did today to show you tomorrow, so I will be back in the morning. Have a WONDERFUL Labor Day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

New Tilda

I got some new Magnolias the last week, and was dying to get them inked. I needed a Get Well card, so I thought this little gal and her bird would be a cutie patootie.
This was a simple card...just colored Tilda with Watercolors, layered her and the sentiment, and added ribbon. I can't believe all the green I have been using lately, as I am NOT a fan of green! I must be getting more diverse with age...LOL!
I have a couple more to do today, so I am off to look for some good challenges. Have a GREAT Saturday, and I will see you soon. Thanks so much for coming by...

Happy Monkey

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone had a better day than I did...I will not drone on about that one...LOL!
I needed a quickie Birthday card, and this is what I came up with. Isn't Mr. Monkey just too cute? He is one of Dustin Pike's Designs, and he is so much fun to color in! I colored him with Watercolor Crayons and glitter pens. The Cherry is covered with Crystal Effects to make it shiney. The scalloped circle is cut with my Nesties, and I just added the buttons and ribbon for more color. The scallops qualify this card for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #22: Scallop Mania. They have some great challenges every Sunday!
Well, I am off to bed. Work is killing me this year...LOL. I haven't gone to bed before 10 pm since I was 12! LOL Hmmmm, maybe it isn't work, could I just be getting OLD?? I am gonna go with the work~
Thanks to everyone for stopping by, and I hope your day is great!

Bee-utiful...

I couldn't resist! When Clear Dollar Stamps put out the September Guest Designer Challenge, I knew I had to use their recently released Everyday Jar-gon set! This is just the most adorable set...with the jar, and various things to fill it with and sentiments to match!
I needed a Get Well card, so I went with the bees. If you click the pic, you can see the honeycomb embossing on the yellow circle. It was done using Fiskars Embossing plates and the Cuttlebug. I stamped the jar, lid and bees with black StazOn, and watercolored them. The little wings are colored with glitter pen to make them sparkle. I did the same with the BG paper. I couldn't resist using the little Bee button on the sentiment...it just fit there so perfectly. I took a liberty and put a little corner punch in to even things out. This was actually a fun sketch to do! Be sure to check out Clear Dollar Stamps as they have this set on sale thru Monday for 30% off! You will love it as much as I do!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a super week!

A Stamptacular Challenge

I am home with the flu again today, so I got to do some stamping! I do not recommend the flu for a day off work, though..LOL!
Today I made my card for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #21. The challenge was to use 3D on your card, and of course, stamping. I went to my all time favorite SU set, Best Blossoms. I will NEVER part with this set...I can do anything and everything with it! I made it a 5 x 5 card because I am really liking how I can arrange things on the square lately! This was very simply layered with white Cuttlebugged panels and Pretty In Pink cardstock. The flowers were stamped on a white panel along with the leaves, and then stamped again on another piece of white and cut out. I laid the cut outs over the stamped images and then added stickles to the flower centers. This was really as quickly made card, but it has lots of dimension. I didn't need it for any particular reason, so I left the sentiment off, but when I use it, I will place a sentiment below the flower panel.
I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday! I am off to take a little happy nappy, and then make some more challenge cards! Please be sure to sign up for my Blogoversary Candy! Thanks so much for stopping by...see you soon!

Almost TOO Late

I made this card for this past weeks Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. The challenge was to make a project with a Bear. I just love this little gal...the inside says "Housework is something you do that no one notices...'til you DON'T do it!"
True, eh? This is a BAD picture...I will get a better one in the sunlight tomorrow. I have been working on this all week....actually, I made it last Monday....just put the corners and flower on tonight so I could get it posted...LOL! Have a great night, and thanks for stopping by!

A Polished Magnolia

This is a Polished Stone Background Card that I made for a swap. One of my partners is a very special friend, so I wanted a special card.
First I did the BG with Pretty In Pink, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. I love how it turned out with the greens more muted and the pink POP!
I had yet to ink up this Tilda, other than to send images, so I wanted to use her. She is such a cutie-patootie and I just LOVE any Tilda with wings! I colored her with watercolors, glittered her wings, and cut her with my scalloped circle Nesties. Then sponged the scallops with Old Olive. Next I cut the Old Olive and Pretty In Pink CS with the Lables 3 Nesties. Oh goodness, I want ALL the Lables Nesties....maybe someday. I just layered everything and added the gorgeous paper rosebuds and leaves, and voila....it was done. She got the card today and liked it, so that makes me totally HAPPY!
It has been a HORRIBLE week at work! I will get used to it...soon I hope. I have NO energy to even put rubber to ink this week...and I miss it!
Oh we got GREAT news! My mother has been contacted by the University of Iowa to participate in a Clinical Study for patients with severe Emphezema. I hope she gets the real thing and not the placebo, but if she does, after 6 months, they will offer her another option. It is called an IBV Valve Trial. It is really COOL so please say a prayer for her....
Thanks so much for stopping by! I will have some new things this weekend, I promise! ALSO, next week is my Blogoversary, so there will be candy SOON!! Have a great day tomorrow!

A Challenging Card

Well, I got a couple of cards made today before heading off to the lake for the day. This one started with the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I thought this would be a super sketch for this Tilda. Since I used one of my sweet Magnolias, it qualifies for the Just Magnolia Challenge which was to make a card for a friend. I had this little Tilda already colored, so I went ahead and used her for the Crafty Creations Challenge. They made the challenge to use lots of Yellow!
I am happy with it, and it is going to a friend at work who has a Birthday next week. I start back to work tomorrow...yes, I am crying! It has been a great Summer! Thank you to everyone who has sent well wishes to my Mom. Please keep her in your prayers, as God is her only hope!
When I know more, I will let you all know what the scoop is. Just know I am back on Chantix and I WILL quit smoking this time! ( say a prayer for me, too!)
Thanks for stopping by and have a FABBY week!!

Finally a Card.....

Yeah, it has been a while since I have posted. I have been cardmaking, but some things I can't post until they reach their destinations. It kills me...LOL. This is one I made for Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #14. Great sketch, and versetile to boot! I just love this little Tilda, her flower halo reminds me of one my daughter wore for my sister's wedding 13 years ago. Yeah, she was an angel...THEN!

I am working on a few more challenges this weekend, so I will be back. I got some not so great news about my Mom this week, so if I am not around ( like disappear) that is probably why. I just hate being 700 miles away...

I hope everyone has a great weekend...see you again SOON! Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Daughter Did This~

I just love it when my DD sits at my desk and creates. She has been thinking about my Mom the past few days, and decided to send her a card.
Shelli loves the 5th Ave. Floral set, so she wanted to use the rose on Grandma's card. I am just so proud of her, she did her first watercoloring on the rose, and chose the colors herself. I guess she HAS been paying attention. No, this isn't her first card, she has made some gorgeous ones in the past, but I was extra thrilled with this because she just DID it!
Sorry to drone on and one...I am just a proud Momma! I will be back soon with something new . Have a FABBY day and thanks for stopping by!

Snowflakes and some Challenges

It is SMOTHERING HOT out there today, so I stayed in and played with some challenges. The first one is from The Cuttlebug Spot, which was to use your favorited embossing folder. I just LOVE this snowflake folder, so another Christmas Card it is...LOL!
The next challenge is at Christmas Stamping All Year Long , which is a really cool sketch using embossing and PP. The next 2 are Daring Card Makers and Creative Inspiration, which both challenged you to use lots of BLING! I love bling, so that was really not TOO big of a challenge.
This card went together fairly quickly. The Snowflake is cut on the Silhouette, and the scalloped circles with my nesties and CB. I got to use a scrap of PP, which is always wonderful, and a nice piece of wide satin ribbon. The bling is Stickles on the snowflake and Prismal Glitter on the nestie. I like the simplistic yet "pretty" way this turned out, so I am sure it will be reproduced with other PPs for mailing. I hope you all have a great day...Thanks for stopping by!

A Couple of Clean & Simples

OK I lost my first post, so I am praying that this one takes! These are a couple of cards I made using ideas and a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping Blog. The first is a C&S Fall-to-Layout, and there is a new one each week. This one is FTL #53. I don't have any really LARGE stamps, so I used SU Big Blossoms, which is retired. That is stamped in Pretty In Pink, and the sentiment, from Warmest Regards, is stamped in Green Galore. I colored the flower center with Green Galore reinker and an aqua pen, then covered it with Crystal Effects. Layered the design onto GG cardstock, and voila, a 10 minute card!

The next one is another from C&S, and was a featured 10-minute Monday Card. I had already made the flower and leaves, which are digi-stamps from Fred She Said. Since the hard part was done, all I had to do was cut the papers and assemble. This one only took about 10 minutes, also, and will be done again I am sure. The flowered PP was a scrap, and when I can use up scraps, that is a GOOD thing....LOL!
I worked today, so I am BEAT! NO, school isn't back in session, I just went in to help the new manager set up the kitchen. We go back on the 13th of August, so I got a taste of how I will be feeing in a week or so...LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by! I have some more to share tomorrow~

Final Chrismas In July Challenges....

I have really had alot of fun doing the Christmas In July Card Challenges! This one is for The CuttleBug Spot Challenge #41. I just LOVE my Snowflakes CB Embossing Folder, so this was a great chance to use it! The cute snowman is, of course, Dustin Pike digistamp. All of the Christmas cards I have made so far this year have included his work, so I think I will make them ALL that way. The second challenge I use was Christmas Stamping All Year Long . Their challenge was to use a snowman...got it! My final challenge is Dawny's Sketch #20 at Papertake Weekly. It works so perfectly with the snowman and snowflakes, I just HAD to use it! Can you tell I enjoyed this? hehehe
Well, I am off for the evening. I have to take my DD to the school for a test at 8 a.m., so my bed is calling. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kick Up Your Hooves....CDS Guest Designer Challenge

It is August Guest Designer Time at Clear Dollar Stamps! As most of you know, I LOVE CDS, so I just had to participate. This month's challenge is a sketch...which I love!
I used Charliene Cowgirl, isn't she adorable? She is watercolored and layered to give her some dimension...after all, she IS a girl! The base card is soft lavendar, then layered with the purple and PP. I scalloped the edges of each layer with the SU Border Punch and used the SU PhotCorner punch for the single corner. Every girl needs some bling, so I added the flower charm from CDS and some purple gems from my stash.
My best friend's daughter has a birthday next week, so this is headed to Iowa later this afternoon. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I will have more soon!
Have a great Friday~

Good Morning~

I came across this gorgeous plaid PP in my Blossoms & Butterflies Stack by DCWV, and I just HAD to use it! I always buy these stacks, and rarely use them ( my name is Julie, and I am a paper hoarder), so I thought today is a good day to do so!
I Love this sketch from ABC Challenge Blog, so I went ahead and used it. I dug out my favorite Butterfly from TAC, embossed and watercolored it. I went to my DCWV Glitter stack and the Lt. Blue glitter paper was a match, but the green wasn't, so I had to make my own. That was easily done with a glue pen and parismal gltter. From there I just layed it all out, and it worked perfectly. It is just gorgeous IRL, if I do say so myself...LOL!
I am off to do some more creating! I hope your Tuesday is wonderful! Thanks for stopping by!

Some Challenges

I am so thrilled, I got 3 cards made today! YUP, I think the Mojo has returned...LOL!
This one includes 5 challenges...and it was SO MUCH FUN! It all started with The Pink Elephant sketch. I thought this would be really neat, yet simple! The next was Digi Tuesday, which was to use a digi stamp and a Christmas In July Theme. Another Challenge with the Christmas In July Challenge was In the Cottage Studio , so it is a 2-fer! Next is the use if Eyelets at Cute Card Thursday, which fit right into the sketch perfectly. Lastly, Pile It On required the use of Watercolors. That was an easy one...I LOVE to watercolor my images! All in all, I really enjoyed putting this one together with all the great challenges. Thanks again for coming by today!

Got my Mojo back...and 2nd DT Call at InkyImpressions

It went on vacation without me, but now I think it has returned. I look at Challenges everyday, and make notes of the ones I like. Well, since my Mojo was on vacation, it just didn't help last week. Yesterday, it came home, and I was able to get some creating done. I went to my list and saw the Sketch Saturday Challenge, I just had to play along. I have been wanting to make a card for the DT Call at Inky Impressions, so this was just what I needed to give
me a boost!
I adore the Stamps at Inky Impressions, as I have said many time. but unfortunatly, this precious Lili is the only one I have right now, so I used her again. I colored her with watercolor crayons and glitter pens. Look at those little finger nails...so cute! The Designer Paper is from the Paper Studio that i got at Hobby Lobby. I love it when I can buy individual papers that match! I never use full stack packs for some reason...LOL. I finished her off with some matting and primas. I am off to take pictures of another card I did this morning. I'm thrilled to have some Mojo back...whew!
Be sure to stop over at my friend, Cindy's Blog, as she is participating in a Royal Blog Hop. If you are Canadian, she has a gorgeous SU Set as Blog Candy...and the MAIN PAGE has a Big Shot they are giving away to anyone who plays along!

Thanks so much for coming by today! My Blogaversary is the 27th of August, so look for some Blog Candy SOON!

Build-a-Card

Oh this one was SO FUN!! Every Sunday, I check the challenge at Stamptacular Sunday
and yesterday, there was a BONUS Build-a-Card Challenge. Each DT member had a card element on their blog, and after you collect all 10 elements, you put your card together. This is the result. ( And I am so happy I got my camera to work correctly FINALLY, now I can take CLEAR pictures of my cards to share...LOL)
Please be sure to hop over and check out the regular challenge, too, which is to make a shape card. I have to put my thinking cap on for that one, lemme tell ya...
Have a great Monday, and I will see you soon! Thanks so much for stopping by!

How Adorable Is She?

I just LOVE this little gal! Her name is Lili's Secret and she is available at Inky Impressions.
She has the biggest eyes! Yes I sound like an advertisement, but I really think this is a precious stamp!

I made this card today with a few challenges in mind. The first being the Spoonful of Sugar Sketch Challenge. I took one liberty by adding the tag sentiment, but otherwise it is followed pretty much to the T~ This little cutie also qualifies for some other challenges: Colour Create Challenge which was to create a card using Blue and White; Stampin' for the Weekend which is Rock 'n Roll '70s, and I chose the song Tangled Up In Blue by Bob Dylan; and finally, The Use It Challenge which was to use a favorite stamp ( this is one of mine), a layered Flower ( mine is 4 layers...LOL) and to make the card Monochromatic. I think I got them all! I just love challenges, can ya tell? I have a couple more in the works, so please come back! Thanks for stopping by...see you soon!~

Christmas In July Challenges

I had a couple of Christmas In July swap cards I needed to finish by months end, so today I decided to get them made and take advantage of a couple of Challenges. The image was a Dustin Pike freebie...yes, I bought every one of his designs, but I wanted to use Santa....LOL! Be sure to hop over and see his latest Christmas release, they are adorable!

The first challenge I planned this card for was Cute Card Thursday, which was to make a Christmas Card. Then I came across a great sketch with a spin at The Sweet Stop this morning, and it was also to make a Christmas card, so I HAD to use it! The picture isn't the greatest in the overhead light, so I apologize. I love the sketch at will use it again I am sure!

I have a couple other challenges in the works, so I will be back soon! Have a Fabby evening!

FINALLY

Wow it is sure nice to be back to creating! I have NO idea what has been up with me...the desire is there, but the ideas have been NIL!

I was determined to finish something lastnight before I went to bed, and this is what I finished. Over the weekend, I bought the Dustin Pike Mega Deal which included all 118 of his released digistamps. They are all just adorable! I have a friend in Virginia who just ADORES monkeys, and her puter died not too long ago, so I thought this would be perfect for her! Isn't that "Banana" computer too cool? ( as opposed to an Apple) I had a totally different idea for the layout, but when I Coluzzled the image, I slipped and totally messed it up! I was devastated~

I decided to just cut him out and mount him, and I am glad I did as it gave some dimension. I didn't have any cardstock that was the exact color of the banana, so I made some with the same color yellow watercolor on white CS. I was thrilled it worked. Since my friend, Cindy, challenged me to try the Polished Stone Technique, I am just in love with the look, so I did it for this card.

I wanna play with Magnolias today, or maybe some Sarah Kays I just got...or maybe the Inky Impressions stamp I got yesterday....Anyway, I will be back later with something else....

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and thanks so much for stopping by!

Yay, I got another one done...I almost forgot to post it...LOL! I have just had so much fun with my new little Tilda's. This gal is Farmer Tilda, and she is my only one that is sitting. I hand drew the swing she is sitting on, since I have none of the Magnolia Accessories-yet. I colored Tilda with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush, then cut her out. After drawing the swing, I colored it with watercolors and cut it out with Nesties. I used a glue runner to adhere Tilda to the scallopped circle and then mounted them all to the BG. I finished it off with corner punches and the flowers. Simple, but effective. I used the sketch at Delightful Sketches and really like it!
This card qualifies for the Pink Elephant Challenge, which is to use Red and 2 Blues, andalso qualifies for the Stamp With Fun challenge which was to use shapes and/or punches. Be sure to check them out!

I hope everyone has had a blessed day! I will see you soon!

Tilda #2 for Tuesday...LOL

Yup, I got a second one made today....in between making lunch, doing laundry, watching the Michael Jackson Memorial, taking my daughter driving, and making dinner! I had a BUNCH of challenges in this little Tilda Card. It all started with the Sketch Saturday sketch and my sweet Tilda. First I watercolored her, and did her flower halo in glitter gel pens. I couldn't get the three flowers above the sentiment to look right, so I am sorry, I only used one. Is that creative license? LOL

This card also qualifies for other challenges. Just Magnolia required the use of a charm... got it. Charisma Cards wanted buttons...they are there. Spoonful of Sugar required hearts...got LOTS of those! Creative Card Crew asked for ribbon...got those. The Next Level, which wanted the use of buttons and bows...check! And lastly, ( though I am sure there are others out there I don't know about) Pile It On which wanted the use of at least 3 different embellishments...ribbon, brad, buttons, charm...got those. I just took this picture, and I think it looks a little dark, so I will try to get a better one in the morning. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I Got My Magnolias...YAY!!

I got my order from Simon Says Stamp lastnight, and got to play! This is Daisy Tilda..isn't she adorable? Ok they are ALL adorable...LOL! I did her up as a gatefold card, which is a new one for me. She is colored with watercolor pencils and AquaPen, and her little wings are glittered. I cut her out and matted her using my Nesties, and the BG paper is some from my stash. The sentiment is by SU and the flowers are Primas.
I have more to play with, so I am off to find some challenges to do! Have a wonderful day, and I will see you later... Thanks for stopping by!

I Disappeared..

But now I am back! Friday night, I did a Sketch Challenge I found online, and OMGoodness, it was HORRENDOUS! I was so distraught ( OK here comes the drama) that I couldn't bring myself to even go to the stamping table. I know, sounds corny, but it is true! My poor friend, Cindy, had to deal with my whining....she is a saint!
Anyway, she challenged me to try the Polished Stone Technique since I had never done it, and voila, my Mojo has returned! Thank you, Cindy!
This card is the result~ I used YoYo Yellow and Positively Pink re-inkers to do the Polished Stone. I totally love how it came out! Then I stamped Upsy Daisey in Marveous Magenta ( I know that sounds gross) and embossed it. Next time, I am NOT embossing...I think it will look better. then I just layered with White and Positively Pink on a YoYo Yellow card base.
I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I have a few more ideas in my head, so I will be posting again tomorrow, I am sure! Thanks for stopping by...

ICS #23 And Digital Tuesday Challenge

I just LOVE this little guy by Justin Pike! Actually, I think I love all his little guys...LOL! I am thrilled to get to use him for this weeks Inspirational Card Sketch! He ALSO qualifies for the challenge at Digital Tuesday, which is to use a SUMMER theme! ( AND the sponsor just happens to be JUSTIN)
I have had this piece of PP for a LONG time, and was dying to use it. Sorry, I have NO IDEA who makes it, there was no signature on the back, but I know I got it in Iowa at JoAnn's.
This card is a little odd sized...it is 6 1/4 X 4 1/2...the size of the new envys I got. I was happy to make it a little larger, as the image fit perfectly that way. Mr. Teddy is colored with Watercolor Pencils and Crayons and the sentiment is computer generated. I cut some of the underwater goodies out of the PP to use as embellishments, and I like how they look overall. When I got him all together, something was missing, so I added the paper piercing around the main panel and that was what was needed. This was a fun sketch...be sure to go check it out and play along!
Thanks for stopping by today...have a GLORIOUS Wednesday!

3 Challenges In 1

I got to do some playing today, so I thought I would do some of the challenges I have been checking out on various blogs. I must admit, I didn't expect to do three in one card, but hey it worked! The first Challenge is at Stamping 411 , which is a sketch challenge. The second is at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge , which is "Animal Party"...use an animal. Lastly,
the third challenge is at Use It Challenges, which has 4 conditions-1) Use an image inspired by nature 2) Use Polka Dots 3) Use your favorite Embellishments 4) Mail it out! ( this will be a swap card...I made 2)
I am thrilled I got 3 into 1...LOL! The stamp is from Clear Dollar Stamps...isn't he a cutie? Anyhow, I have a few other things I have been working on, so I will be back. Have a great Afternoon, and thank you for stopping by!

Clear Dollar Stamps DT Call

Clear Dollar Stamps, one of my FAVORITE stamp companies, has a monthly Guest Designer Call. This is the Sketch to use for July. I played a couple months back, and it was so fun, so I thought I would do another this month!

Here is the card I did for the sketch. I used my CDS Set called What A Hoot. Isn't he the cutest owl ever? The tree branches and flowers are also part of this 23 piece set, as well as some sentiments...I just love it! I kept close to the sketch, just put the embellishment ( the bow) on the bottom rather than the top. I also used layered corners to balance it out a bit.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are having a Blessed Sunday!

Cuter than a Monkey's.....

You can finish that one...LOL! I thought this little guy from Dustin Pike is totally adorable! He was a Wednesday Freebie, so be sure to go check Dustin's Blog and pick up some of his adorable DigiStamps!
I adore Monkeys, so this guy I printed in several different sizes and you will see him again, I promise! This card was made for a Sketch Swap on one of my Yahoo Groups, and I am so happy I used this image...it is perfect! Don't ya just love that smile? LOL I watercolored the entire image, and the saying is from Clear Dollar Stamps. The PP is by My Mind's Eye.
I have some ideas to play with today, so I hope to get back later! Have a wonderful Saturday...stay cool! Thanks for stopping by~
