Another Post....

Don't fall off your chairs, I am actually posting another card on the SAME DAY! LOL I go a week with NOTHING and now, I have a second post!
This little guy is from Clear Dollar Stamps, and I JUST LOVE HIM!! I colored him with markers and used some Crystal Effects on his shell. Then I just layered him up. I have been having fun with all the critters in this set...they are just so cute!!
I will be back tomorrow with more goodies...I am doing a Clean & Simple Weekend Challenge, so this should be interesting...LOL! Have a good evening!

T.G.I.F.

Happy Friday, Stampers! I can't believe I haven't posted all week...guess I am a bit bummed being off with this bad knee. I HAVE been creating, though, which has kept me sane this week. This card is one I made for my Grandma's Birthday, which is March 4th. I am a lucky gal to still have Grandmas in my life...
I wanted something SIMPLE and ELEGANT for my Gram, as she is a totally elegant lady!! I love pink and brown together, thus, the color choices. Gram's Fave color is Pink, too...
I Cuttlebugged the main image, then brushed it with Close to Cocoa inkpad. Applied Versamark pen to the raised image and embossed with Clear EP. I love how the pink kind of peeks thru the brown. Then I layered , added the ribbon and sentiment. Very simple, but I think, very pretty! I will be doing more of these!
I have a few more goodies to share that I have been doing this week while home...I just HATE having time off due to injury! I have an MRI Monday, so we will find out if surgery is necessary...say a prayer for me!! My sanity nor bank book can afford much more time off work!
Have a great afternoon...

Spring...Can it be near?

Well, a girl can dream, can't she? It was a bright day out there today, but not exactly warm. I got myself into a Spring Swap, and with the chill in the air, it has been HARD to think spring!

I broke out an OLD favorite, SU's Best Blossoms. This is one set I will NEVER part with. There are just SO many things that can be done with it. The card is pretty self explanatory...stamping and masking, some glitter and ribbon, and voila, it is done! I am headed to bed...I am working half days until I find out what is up with this sore knee! I have a SU order to pay for next month...LOL! Have a great evening....see you soon!

St. Patty's Chef

I come from a long line of Irish....like many in the USA. My Great Great Grandparents migrated here from Ireland, they were the O'Gradys when they got here. Soon after, they became the Bradys, and have been since. This card is for my Mom's Mom, who was one of those Bradys. Every year I HAVE to make her a St. Patrick's Day card, or it breaks her heart...LOL! A while back I saw this Voila chef made up as a SPD card, so I had to try it. His hat and jacket are paper pieced, and the rest of him is colored with markers. For his tray, I used a couple of puffy glittered shamrock stickers, and the sentiment is on a 3D sticker. The stamp and PP are from Stampin' Up.

Well, I have a few other things going, so hopefully I can get back to the desk and play more. I hurt my knee Wednesday, and after 4 hours in the ER yesterday, they diagnosed a probable tear in te cartiledge. I see an Orthopedic Surgeon on Wednesday. I am in a knee brace and it is SO hard to get under the table to stamp...LOL! Oh well, I will do what I can...
Have a great weekend...see you soon!

A Couple More Swap Cards....

Wow, this 3 day weekend has just FLOWN by!! I did get some of my swaps done...why I get into so many, I have NO IDEA!! Since I have started back to work, I really don't have time to commit to swaps, but, I am just so addicted that when I see one I wanna join, I can't resist! LOL This is for a Sketch Swap on my Yahoo group. I used one of my all time favorite stamps sets from Stampin' Up, Art of Life. The picture is crooked, I promise the card isn't...LOL! I was gonna bling this one up, but when I got the 3 panels on the Old Olive, I loved the simplicity, so I just left it. Since the rest of the card was plain, I just layered on the plain sentiment, too. I hope my partners like it!
For the next card, we were to use 3D Stickers of some sort. I bought some really gorgeous flowers, but I was having a hard time deciding how I wanted to lay them out on the card. I am NOT good with stickers! I have had these Red Hat Society Stickers for quite a while, and thought, what the hey, I will just use those! I love how they coordinate with the PP!
Well, it is 10 p.m. and I have to work in the morning, so off to bed I go. Have a week! See you soon!

I am so excited I have just joined the Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers! I would like to introduce myself to my new sisters and encourage ALL of my readers to visit their blogs and send them some LOVE!!

I am a 47 year-old Mom of one Wonderful 17 year-old daugher. We moved from Iowa to Arkansas 2 years ago in March, and I love it here! I work for the High School here in Bentonville ( the hometown of Wal-Mart) in the cafeteria...yes, I feed 1200 teenagers lunch everyday. Hard work, but it pays for the goodies...LOL! I have 2 little Chihuahua fur babies who I also cook for daily. Hehehe~

I have been stamping for about 10 years...well, that was when I bought my first stamp. I have been FAITHFULLY stamping for about 4 years now, and I LOVE IT! Since I have found blogging, I have learned SO much...I don't think I will EVER know it all! I love layers and simplicity. Although my favorite colors are Lavendar and Yellow, I tend to use alot of Pink...go figure. Stampin' Up has been my LONGTIME favorite stamp company, but I now love ALL stamps and have started collecting unmounteds, too. I swore I would never do that, but....

I can't wait to meet everyone....After I post everyone's link, I am gonna go check out all the wonderful new blogs in my world! Have a wonderful weekend...

Challenges Galore

Well, today I spent some time making some Challenge Cards. I have been following Krafty Kimmie's Corner this week for her Birthday Celebration! Each day this week she has posted a Challenge, and this card is for Day 2...Use her layout and some sort of dry embossing on your card. I have been coloring images, and I love my new Charliene Set from Clear Dollar Stamps, so I thought this the perfect opportunity to use her. She is colored with pencils, and the sky is sponged using an All Night Media template. I just love her and you will be seeing alot of this little filly....LOL!

Another Blog I love is Libby's Little Addiction. Not only is she UBER talented, but she has a weekly Challenge called From Courtney's Closet. She takes a picture of her gorgeous little girl in an adorable little outfit, and you are to use the little outfit as inspiration. Well, Courtney turned a year old this past week, and her Momma has issued the final Closet Challenge. This is the card I came up with for the Challenge, and it is going for a little girl's Birthday...How appropriate, eh? Well, I am off....I have a Cabbage Patch Newborn to wrap....Have a fabby night! See you tomorrow with more challenges....AND BLOG CANDY!!

I Have Been Tagged...Twice!

Well, I was tagged by Joani and Lorraine and here is the pic I came up with. This is a picture of the FIRST TIME my Daughter got behind the wheel of a car! Oh I can still remember my mixed emotions...I was SCARED...obviously! And I kinda cried...this is a sign of growing up, and I DO have a problem with her doing that...
Now I have to pass this on to 6 other bloggers, though most I know have already been tagged! SO, if you have NOT been tagged yet, please consider yourself tagged...I will be watching! Remember it is to be the 6th folder, 6th picture in it...I was SO relieved it wasn't a Christmas Pic of me in my jammies and BedHead...LMAO!! I hope you are all warmer now! Most of our area has electricity again...my friend at work, Shelia, just got hers back lastnight. She lost her fridge and freezer, but other than that, was very lucky! Since work has been killing me, I am headed to bed. I will be back tomorrow with something, I promise! I have been coloring images like a wild woman...I have to use them SOMETIME....LOL! Have a great night....

A Wasted Weekend....LOL

Well, today was spent running my daughter all over, so I didn't get much play time. I DID stamp some images to make into cards in the next few days, though, so I WILL have some things to show you later this week...AND BLOG CANDY!! I went a bit overboard and I have 2 groups of candy, so I am gonna do one now and one in a few weeks. Nothing wonderful, but there are a few cute stamps and some pretty paper.
This is the only card I got done today. it was fast and fun! I love this paper from The Paper Studio....this is the second time you've seen it...LOL! Just some die cut hearts, a sentiment and some ribbon....easy peasy!
Well I am headed to relax....WORK tomorrow...YAY! Have a great Monday and I will see you tomorrow!
